CYOJ Hit Lab Facility Rules

These rules apply to individual membership access. Team practices remain under the direction of Salem Sluggers coaches and the facility’s safety requirements.

Effective August 28, 2026

1. Waiver required

Every athlete must have a current CYOJ Hit Lab waiver on file before using a cage, pitching machine, training technology, or other facility equipment.

If a current waiver is not already on file for the athlete, complete the CYOJ Hit Lab waiver form and select “Hit Lab Membership Waiver.” If a current CYOJ Hit Lab waiver is already on file, a duplicate waiver is not required.

2. Digital membership card and check-in

A digital CYOJ Hit Lab membership card is issued for the enrolled Salem Sluggers player after payment is confirmed. The card is personal to the enrolled athlete and may not be transferred, shared, or used by another person.

The digital membership card must be presented to CYOJ Hit Lab staff at check-in for each visit in which the athlete is using individual membership access or membership benefits. Staff may scan the card's QR code or otherwise verify the athlete's current membership status before providing access or benefits.

If the digital membership card is not available at check-in, access may be delayed until staff can verify the membership.

Scheduled Salem Sluggers team practices are separate from individual membership access and do not require use of the digital membership card unless CYOJ Hit Lab or Salem Sluggers separately communicates otherwise.

3. Reservations and availability

  • Individual cage time must be reserved through CYOJ's current booking process.
  • Membership access is subject to facility hours, scheduled programs, team practices, maintenance, and availability.
  • Reservations apply only to the enrolled athlete and may not be transferred or shared.
  • Members must begin and end within the reserved time so the next athlete can use the space.

4. Equipment and training technology

  • Follow all posted instructions and staff directions before using equipment.
  • Use only the cage, machine, technology, balls, and settings approved for the session.
  • Do not adjust, move, or operate pitching machines or training technology without authorization.
  • Report damaged, loose, or malfunctioning equipment immediately and stop using it.

5. Safety and conduct

  • Stay outside an active cage unless participating in or supervising the reserved session.
  • Do not swing a bat outside designated training areas.
  • Use appropriate protective equipment and follow age-appropriate supervision requirements communicated by CYOJ staff.
  • Water is permitted in designated areas. Keep food, gum, and open beverages away from turf and equipment.
  • Treat athletes, families, coaches, staff, equipment, and the facility respectfully.
  • Unsafe conduct, harassment, intentional damage, or refusal to follow staff instructions may result in removal or suspension, subject to the Membership Agreement and applicable law.

6. Team practices

Salem Sluggers determines team-practice attendance, coaching assignments, drills, and schedules. A team practice is not an individual cage reservation, and an individual reservation does not change the team-practice schedule.
