Sluggers Membership1. Who is responsible for the information
Create Your Own Journey Foundation, operator of CYOJ Hit Lab, administers this membership enrollment. This enrollment flow is intended to be completed only by a parent or legal guardian, not by a child.
2. Information collected
CYOJ may collect the parent or guardian’s name, email address, phone number, the enrolled player’s name, selected payment option, agreement acceptance record, payment status, and membership-support communications.
Stripe collects and processes card or bank-account information. CYOJ receives payment and account references needed to administer billing but does not receive or store complete card or bank-account numbers through this website.
3. How information is used
- To verify eligibility and enroll one Salem Sluggers Fastpitch player.
- To process payments, installments, renewals, refunds, and cancellations.
- To provide facility access, membership benefits, receipts, notices, and support.
- To maintain accounting, safety, agreement, and legal records.
- To prevent fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access.
4. When information is shared
CYOJ may share necessary information with Stripe and other service providers that support payment processing, website hosting, communications, accounting, or legal compliance. CYOJ may confirm the player’s eligibility with Salem Sluggers, but payment credentials are not shared with the team.
CYOJ does not sell the parent’s or player’s personal information through this enrollment website.
5. Information about minors
The parent or guardian should submit only the player information requested during checkout. Do not submit medical details, school records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through the membership checkout or support email.
This membership checkout does not itself grant photography or social-media permission. Those choices are handled through CYOJ’s separate Athlete Waiver and direct communications with families.
6. Retention and security
CYOJ retains membership, agreement, billing, and support records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the membership, meet accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and comply with law. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Requests and corrections
A parent or guardian may request correction of inaccurate contact or player information, ask a privacy question, or request deletion when retention is not otherwise required. Email support@cyojhitlab.com or call 971-301-8679.
8. Updates to this notice
If this notice materially changes, CYOJ will update the effective date and provide notice when required. Changes to payment or automatic-renewal terms are governed separately by the Membership Agreement and applicable law.
