Sluggers Membership1. Parties and enrolled athlete
This Membership Agreement is between the parent or legal guardian completing enrollment (the “Buyer”) and Create Your Own Journey Foundation, operator of CYOJ Hit Lab (“CYOJ”). It provides membership benefits for one active Salem Sluggers Fastpitch player identified during Stripe checkout (the “Athlete”). The membership and its benefits are personal to the Athlete and may not be transferred or shared.
A separate enrollment is required for each Athlete. If a Buyer is enrolling more than one eligible Salem Sluggers player from the same family or household, each Athlete must complete a separate checkout and will receive a separate digital membership card.
2. Membership services
The membership includes the following individual benefits in addition to separately scheduled Salem Sluggers team practices:
- Up to 60 minutes of batting cage time each day, by reservation and subject to availability.
- Access to HitTrax and Rapsodo Pro 2.0 during eligible training sessions.
- Up to 15 minutes of Junior Hack Attack access per session, subject to equipment availability and staff direction.
- 15% off eligible additional same-day cage time, private lessons, skills camps, and clinics.
- 10% off eligible Pro Shop merchandise.
- Digital player membership card with QR membership verification.
- No membership setup fee.
Reservations, technology, machines, discounts, and facility access are subject to availability, posted operating procedures, and the Facility Rules. Discounts may not be combined with another offer unless CYOJ states otherwise.
3. Digital membership card and check-in
After payment is confirmed, CYOJ will issue a digital membership card for the enrolled Athlete. The card will be sent to the parent or guardian email address used during checkout and will include a membership identification number and QR code.
The digital membership card is personal to the Athlete and may not be transferred, shared, or used by another person. The card must be presented to CYOJ Hit Lab staff at check-in for each visit in which the Athlete is using individual membership access or membership benefits.
CYOJ staff may scan the card's QR code or otherwise verify the Athlete's current membership status before providing membership access or benefits. Access may be delayed until membership status can be verified if the digital membership card is not available at check-in.
This check-in requirement applies to individual membership access and membership benefits. Scheduled Salem Sluggers team practices are separate from the individual membership and do not require use of the digital membership card unless CYOJ or Salem Sluggers separately communicates otherwise.
4. Team practices are separate
Salem Sluggers controls its team-practice schedule, attendance expectations, coaching, and roster decisions. This individual membership does not guarantee a particular number, date, or duration of team practices. Team-practice scheduling does not change the individual membership payment schedule.
5. Initial term and access
The initial individual membership begins on the date the Buyer enrolls through the applicable CYOJ checkout, subject to confirmation of the first payment, and ends June 30, 2027. No time or charge for a prior month is added to a later enrollment. Access begins only once payment is confirmed and a current Hit Lab Membership waiver is on file.
For an Athlete who does not already have a current waiver, the parent or legal guardian must complete the CYOJ Hit Lab Activity Waiver and select Hit Lab Membership. A verified current waiver need not be completed again.
6. Signup-date commitment and payment options
The publicly offered membership rate is $80 per month. For a new enrollment, the remaining initial-term price is based on the calendar month in which the Athlete signs up, beginning with the payment made at signup and ending June 30, 2027. For example, enrollment in October requires one October payment and eight subsequent monthly payments from November through June, totaling $720. No charge is assessed for September or for an earlier portion of October before signup.
Under the installment option, the first month's payment is due at checkout, with additional installments on the first day of each later month through June 2027. Under pay-in-full, the Buyer pays the complete remaining initial-term amount at checkout, with no further initial-term installments. The precise payment amount, number of installments, remaining total, and renewal rate displayed during the current checkout are incorporated into the accepted agreement.
A different payment rate or arrangement applies only when approved individually by CYOJ and specifically presented to that Buyer in a private enrollment checkout; it is not a publicly available discount. Existing individually approved membership agreements and historical charges are not modified by this current enrollment agreement.
Except for cancellation and refund rights required by applicable law, the remaining initial-term commitment accepted at checkout remains due. Missing practices or choosing not to use individual membership benefits does not automatically cancel the obligation.
7. Automatic renewal
The standard membership renews automatically at $80 per month beginning July 1, 2027 unless canceled. An individually approved different renewal amount applies only where specifically accepted in that Buyer's private checkout.
To prevent the July 1, 2027 renewal charge, CYOJ must receive written cancellation notice by June 1, 2027. After renewal begins, cancellation becomes effective 30 days after CYOJ receives written notice. Charges scheduled before the effective cancellation date may still be processed, and access continues through the applicable paid period.

8. Payment authorization
By accepting this agreement and completing Stripe checkout, the Buyer authorizes CYOJ and Stripe to charge the selected payment method for the initial payment, scheduled installments, automatic monthly renewals, and any permitted amounts described in this agreement at the rate and remaining initial-term total specifically accepted during checkout. Available payment methods are determined by Stripe. Bank-account payments may take several business days to confirm and are also governed by the ACH mandate presented by Stripe.
If a payment fails, CYOJ or Stripe may retry the payment and contact the Buyer. CYOJ may pause individual membership access while an amount is past due, subject to applicable law.
Membership fees purchase services and access. They are not represented as charitable contributions or tax-deductible donations.
9. Other cancellation and refund rights
Nothing in this agreement limits a cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived. To the extent Oregon's health-spa contract requirements apply, cancellation may also be available for death or qualifying physical inability, facility closure, qualifying relocation, failure to complete represented facilities or improvements, or a material change to promised services. Any legally required refund will be calculated and issued as required by applicable law.
BUYER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL
If you wish to cancel this contract without penalty, you may cancel by delivering or mailing written notice to CYOJ Hit Lab. The notice must state that you do not wish to be bound by the contract and must be delivered or mailed before midnight of the third business day after you accept this agreement.

10. Facility rules and athlete waiver
The Buyer acknowledges receipt of the Facility Rules and agrees that the Athlete will follow them, all posted safety requirements, and reasonable staff instructions.
The Athlete must have a current separate waiver on file before using CYOJ facilities or equipment. If a current waiver is not already on file, the Buyer must complete the CYOJ Hit Lab waiver form and select “Hit Lab Membership Waiver.”
The waiver and this Membership Agreement serve different purposes; accepting one does not replace the other.
11. Electronic acceptance and records
Checking the agreement box and continuing to Stripe constitutes the Buyer's electronic acceptance and authorization. CYOJ may retain the agreement version, acceptance date and time, selected payment option, applicable membership rate, Stripe transaction records, and parent and Athlete information needed to administer the membership, issue and verify the digital membership card, and provide membership access and benefits. The Buyer should save or print this agreement for their records.
12. Applicable law and contact
Oregon law governs this agreement. If any term conflicts with a non-waivable legal right, that right controls and the remaining terms continue to apply.
